Bremen is the smallest independent Federal Land in Germany and comprises the cities of Bremerhaven and Bremen which, with a population of around 550,000, ranks amongst the 10 largest cities in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Bremen Chamber of Commerce is not only the centre of commercial self-administration, but also asserts the interests of Bremen’s business community in political and social aspects. This includes lobbying for efficient infrastructure, promoting regional and urban development, upgrading research infrastructure as well as the expansion of traffic connections in response to changing requirements.
